December 14, 2020 - Onions and Rice

Feed Thy Neighbor Update. It has been a heck of a weekend. it all started Friday. I was cooking Friday and all of a sudden I looked up and said, "I am out of onions and rice", one of the volunteers said I will run to the store. I then said "don't bother the holy ghost has our back". I was kidding of course and went to get my billfold and as I walked to the bedroom the door bell rang and a donor was there and said, "hey Tony I got you some onions and rice". I know this is coincidence but it gave me chills. later in the day a good Samaritan who donated so much during the week in food and supplies came by and gave us a sizable gift card to buy gifts for the homeless. This couple has a heart bigger then my house, God bless them. Saturday we worked out the Christmas and Christmas eve dinners. My buddy Mike has offered to spend his Christmas day smoking my 100 pounds of Turkey I have stocked piled and our ovens will do the 100 pounds of ham that my crazy pal Dave helped me acquire. Everyone is giving and loving and its a beautiful thing. I will publish a hero's list later today so all are acknowledged. Today I am making homemade lasagna. I just finished grinding the meat. I will serve it Monday. Its a wonderful world. Anyone who wishes to make a Christmas donation can send a check to

Feed Thy Neighbor, 1800 Senegal Date Drive, Naples 34119. Remember we are a 501c3 and your donation is fully deductible

Thanks Tony
